We interupt our regularly scheduled knitting content for a special announcement.
Daughter #1 has a birthday tomorrow.
Twenty-eight years ago today I was apple picking in Michigan blissfully unaware that in less than 24 hours I would be giving birth to my first child. Obviously, I knew I was pregnant but my due date was two weeks away so I was not expecting Daughter #1's arrival quite so soon. She changed my life in many ways and one of the lessons she's taught me is that life doesn't always happen according to Mom's schedule or plan. We are alike in many ways and often clash as a result but I am very proud of the woman she's become. So on the eve of her birthday I'm taking this opportunity to wish her all the best in the coming year.
Love from Mom and Happy Birthday

What a cute picture!
Very belated comment, but I love this picture! Is it hard to believe she is 28 already? I can't believe mine will be grown up someday too ... and yet it's already happening so fast.
(My first one was born in Michigan too!)
